Meet the BlackLocus Engineering Team!

Hello Austin!

HackerX is partnering with BlackLocus to introduce top software engineers in the area to their engineering team!

Join us at our offices and learn about some of the exciting new technologies we’re working with, enjoy catered food and drinks, and meet other awesome developers!

BlackLocus is an Innovation Lab operating within The Home Depot.

We work collaboratively across multiple disciplines, so we look for people who are engaging and bring creative energy to our team,” said Dave Ruback, director of engineering. “We combine data science and engineering to build innovative products in the competitive retail space

Our engineers and scientists use disruptive techniques to analyze massive amounts of data that online retailers use for everything from price optimization to revenue management. By applying machine learning and revenue management techniques, the BlackLocus platform enables intelligent retail software to identify opportunities for competitive advantage. The work we do has a direct, measurable impact on a $100 billion company.

BlackLocus was a venture-funded startup, founded by Carnegie Mellon alumni with a passion for creative deployment of new technology. We were acquired by The Home Depot in December of 2012.
