Overview

Have you ever wondered if you can write code to save lives? At Axon our mission is to protect life. We are passionate about bringing state of the art technology to law enforcement so officers can focus on helping their communities instead of fighting with bad software.

We’re building a brand new product, from the ground up, that is going to give police officers the time, tools, and insights to make our communities safer.

We’re looking for talented front end engineers to help us bring this vision to life. You will be invigorated by the opportunity to be an early member of the team, and enjoy building a solid foundation for a very visionary product.

The RMS tech stack
Our product is still super early, but here’s what we’re working with so far:
Backend – Golang. No previous experience needed, but we’re strongly biased towards easy to understand, clean code.
Frontend – React (and opportunity to do React Native, and Electron apps in the future)
Data – Several. Right now, we’re prototyping different ways to handle the intrinsically graph oriented nature of the relationships between entities (people, crimes, vehicles, property, locations, etc).
Orchestration, Deployments, Operations – TBD, but gravitating towards Kubernetes, Docker, Vitess.io
What else makes RMS unusual?
We believe in pushing autonomy as deeply as possible into the team. A deep understanding of our customers is critical to achieve this autonomy and move quickly. As a result, every engineer on the team spends personal time with law enforcement officers and agencies. Your first police ride-along will be awesome!

Competitive salary, Quarterly Bonus, 401K with employer match, and equity
Unlimited paid time off
Ride along with real police officers in real life situations, see them use technology, get inspired
