WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

The technology team is rethinking how we deliver software to the Workers’ Compensation industry. We’re building exciting new software delivering value on a continual basis and are looking for people that are or want to become full stack .Net Software Engineers. BHHC has multiple insurance systems such as policy management system, claims management systems, customers/partners portals built and/or maintained in-house written in Microsoft stack. This open position requires becoming a strong ASP.Net Core software engineer with a focus on Microservices. This is a permanent or contract-to-hire position. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for working with architects and product owners to design and create RESTful APIs and data rich web UI applications that will integrate with new or existing applications. Our engineering group is embedded and strongly supported by our business partners.

HOW YOU’D FIT IN:

The candidate is required to become a Microsoft full stack expert mastering coding in C#, Java Script, CSS/SCSS/LESS, using MVC, Bootstrap, Kendo UI, JQuery, REST APIs, Dependency Injection, Dapper, test automation components, all of this under .NET Core Framework, EF Core and a DDD (Domain Driver Design) Microservices oriented architecture.

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a 4 year college or university or equivalent work experience
  • At least 7 years of experience developing complex Web and Windows Desktop Applications in an enterprise environment
  • At least 5 years of experience in building Web services
  • Skilled in building clean, well-documented, understandable, reusable code
  • Experience with Web UI technologies (e.g. CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax)
  • Expertise in design and develop secure, fast and scalable web applications
  • Experience in developing software as service applications
  • Experience in CI/CD techniques
  • Good understanding and comfortable working with containerization technology (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration)
  • Working knowledge and experience with cloud architectures and services (AWS, Google, Azure)
  • Understanding of security issues and defensive programming techniques
  • Understanding and ability to translate written requirements into technical design specifications Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL data stores
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills utilizing diagnostic abilities
  • Experience in code review and acceptance processes in order to improve code quality
  • Strong documentation skills to facilitate support of ongoing operational responsibilities
  • Strong emphasis on unit testing and delivering defect-free code to QA
  • Working knowledge of TFS, AzureDevOps, VSTS with Git reporsitory
  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio 2015 or 2017 (or higher)
