You’ll be based in one of our US offices and will be part of Cloud by McKinsey. This group brings together the best of McKinsey’s cloud capabilities to help our clients use digital technology to transform their businesses.


Our Cloud capabilities, including our recent acquisition of Candid Partners, are now under one new, unified brand name – Cloud by McKinsey. We bring the best minds in business and cloud technology to clients’ cloud transformation journeys. We are driving end-to-end value delivery, coaching and capability building, overall lower cost and higher ROI of cloud transformations, and effective collaboration with other third parties. We will continue to bring our deep industry and functional expertise to cloud projects and Candid Partners’ distinctive assets will be incorporated into the work processes, including their Matter platform, which assists in planning, provisioning and managing cloud security compliance.


What You’ll Do


You will provide leading-edge technology solutions to Fortune 100 enterprises and will play a critical role in driving design and implementation of cloud services from Amazon Web Services, GCP, Azure.

In this role you will be responsible for coding, deploying, and supporting large scale enterprise grade cloud architectures.

You will be responsible for writing large amounts of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in Terraform on a daily basis during all engagements.

You will design CI/CD pipelines to cover deployment of base foundational capabilities, landing zones, and application patterns (e.g. Infrastructure, data, model, serverless, container, VMs)

Your CI/CD pipeline implementations will include artifacts, test suites, test data management, static analysis, multi region, resiliency, security checks, ephemeral environments, promotion environments, multiple accounts/projects/subscriptions, secrets management, and authentication isolation.

As part of this role, you will also prepare and present system documentation and analysis to engagement and client leadership. You’ll also be responsible for the building, deployment, and source code maintenance of new versions of applications in the cloud environment.

Several systems administration duties will also be critical in this role including privileged authentication into servers/accounts/projects/subscriptions to review logs and triage problems.





Experience with a mix of IAM, storage, compute, and networking services from AWS/GCP/Azure services with concentration in at least one of the following lists:

·       Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, KMS, EC2, EBS, ECS, EKS, VPC, CloudWatch, SSM

·       App Engine, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Persistent Disk, Cloud Filestore, Bigtable, Datastore, Cloud SQL, Spanner, Cloud CDN, Load Balancing, GKE

·       Azure VMs, Azure DevOps, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure AD, API Management, Azure Backup, Azure Content Delivery Network, Logic Apps, App Service Engine, AKS

Experience using automation servers like GitHub Actions, GitLab, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, ECR, Azure DevOps, Cloud Build, Google Cloud Deploy, Artifact Registry, Jenkins, GoCD, TravisCI etc.- be able to define Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines using JSON or YAML and understand designing incremental promotion across environments

Profound understanding of the Terraform ecosystem and strong understanding of either python or bash.

Strong understanding of Linux OR Windows (i.e., strength in at least one).

Databases understanding: NoSQL and Relational

A working understanding of enterprise networking concepts like CIDR, routing, subnets, and loadbalancing, VPN, on-prem to cloud traffic, firewalls, and centralized cloud routers.

Experience identifying and writing scripts to automate mundane tasks – be able to interface with APIs in order to automate

Understanding of policy as code constructs.

Knowledge of compiling and packaging applications written in NodeJS, Python, Java, .NET and GoLang, as well as COTS applications.
