A Mastermind that adds function to form!
We are looking for a well-rounded web programmer… As the backbone of the functions of our websites, you’ll have a significant influence on the company’s technical platforms and work with cutting-edge technology to build our different websites (corporate, blog and career) that will be used by of thousands of customers.

Here are some of the technologies we’re using: Sitecore for our main website, APEX and Lightning for Salesforce, Jekyll (Markdown and Liquid) for documentation sites, Wordpress for our marketing microsite. Knowledge of Git and AWS is definitely an asset for this role. DevOps isn’t something you are afraid of ;)

The team is managed and run in Agile (we’re using Jira on a day-to-day basis).

Now, take a cup of coffee (tea), and imagine…

You open a new browser tab, type in a URL, and press enter. The site loads instantly. It nearly takes your breath away with its ultra-clean layout, well-constructed pages, and impressive visuals. Your browse through it and you are impressed with the functionalities and the smoothness of the UX. No doubt in your mind: this is a world class showcase website! As the back-end web developer in our elite web task force, you will be charged with this exact mission: get our web properties to the next level with crisp, breakthrough, converting functionalities.

 

There won’t be typical day in this role, but here is what one might look like:

Start the day with a coffee or a tea. Get to your 9:30 meeting to discuss  the progress of the new microsite due in two weeks.
Meet with the front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic.
Get back to your desk, start your music player and get in the zone to write secure code and architect applications.
Before you run for lunch with the rest of the team, you take some time to do a little QA,  some troubleshooting and debugging on a page you are planning to roll out end of the week.
Start the afternoon by doing a little maintenance on a DB.
Then prepare recommendations for tomorrow’s meeting in regards to optimize the performance of specific functionalities you have implemented on a microsite last week…
Solid technically with a taste for great websites?
We are looking for someone like you… As the guru of the functions of our website,  you’ll have a significant influence on the company’s technical platforms and work with cutting-edge technology to build our different websites (general, blog and career)  that will be used by of thousands of customers.

Ideally, you will have:

3 to 5 years of experience as a back-end developer.
You read everything you can about back-end web development. This is a passion to you!
Hands on experience with programming languages like C# (object-oriented programming), PHP
You have already experienced .NET and know MVC design pattern.
Understands the technologies and languages which power the web such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal. Sitecore experience would be a big plus.
In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment).

Other things that will raise our eyebrows:

You have a personal website that perfectly showcases your portfolio.
You have an interest for front-end development.
You will mention the word “windsor” in your application
Be a Go-getter with the ability to navigate perceived obstacles creating solutions along the way.
