YOUR MISSION
After the recent acquisition of COMATCH by the Malt Community, we are growing our team. As a part of this growth we are offering you the opportunity to join our engineering team. The engineering team is part of the product team responsible for building the COMATCH online independent business expert marketplace and tools that help our internal units provide business services to our customers and consultants. We are a multidisciplinary team of product managers, product designers, product data analysts, software engineers (front-end, back-end, full-stack), data engineers, data scientists and product data analysts.

At COMATCH, the data engineer is part of the data team which is a part of the tech enablement tribe but interfaces frequently with the product development teams and BI department.

Your new mission is:

  • Maintaining and extend our data pipelines and data warehouse
  • Build and scale our data infrastructure and data services on the cloud
  • Ensure that data quality, accuracy and freshness are maintained at the right level
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, software engineers and various business stakeholders to deliver reliable data that powers actionable insight.
YOUR PROFILE
  • You have a degree in computer science (engineering school or equivalent)
  • You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including a previous experience as a data engineer, ideally on similar technologies we use
  • You are able to both build complex data solutions on the cloud (GCP, AWS) in autonomy
  • Strong command of relational databases (we use PostgreSQL) and familiarity with data warehousing concepts including data model design and query optimization strategies
  • Versatility with modern languages and frameworks, we use Python and familiarity with real-time data processing tools and workflow management frameworks, such as Airflow
  • Experience with version control, CI/CD concepts, containerization tools and technologies as well as Infrastructure as Code (we use Terraform)
  • You are curious and keep a close eye on modern data stacks and their evolutions
  • You are pragmatic and focus on impact. You are open to discussing and aligning your approach with the rest of the team
