CTO Rank is a tech leadership intelligence platform that profiles over 480,000 CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and senior technology leaders worldwide. We help recruiters, sales teams, and researchers discover and connect with the decision-makers shaping the technology landscape.
We are looking for a Data Engineer to build and maintain the data pipelines powering ctorank.com.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain ETL pipelines that aggregate leadership data from multiple public sources
- Build data enrichment workflows to enhance profiles with company information and career history
- Optimize database queries for fast search and filtering across 480,000+ records
- Implement data quality monitoring and deduplication systems
- Scale infrastructure to support continued growth of our tech leader database
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering
- Strong SQL skills and experience with MySQL/MariaDB
- Experience building data pipelines using Python
- Familiarity with web scraping and data enrichment APIs
- Understanding of full-text search and indexing strategies
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, DigitalOcean)
Nice to Have:
- Experience with WordPress at scale or PHP development
- Background in B2B SaaS or sales intelligence platforms
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments
