The internet is the richest census of interest ever taken, and at Dotdash we’ve been tracking that interest for 20 years.
Dotdash is visited by over a quarter of the country every month. We have 1stparty data stretching back to the beginning of the internet. In 2017 we used that unique data to drive the biggest turnaround of an internet company, ever. In 2018 we’re founding Signal Labs – a research department that uses our data and our science to solve the most important questions for our clients and partners.
We want you to lead Signal Labs.
About Your Contributions:
Research 1st party behavioral data on millions of daily visitors to derive unique insights on a rapidly changing world – for Dotdash, and for our partners.
Partner with clients and agencies to take their questions, scope a concrete research project, lead the team to execute the project, and deliver insights and data.
Lead and grow a unique research group supporting the revenue team at Dotdash.
Drive thought leadership. Be a public face for Dotdash’s unique data and science capabilities.
4+ years in industry, with at least 2 years of client facing experience.
You have a PhD in a data heavy discipline.
You’re experienced in leading a research team.
You’re used to turning general questions into specific research problems.
You enjoy tackling problems no-one’s ever solved.
You’re excited by finding a new dataset no-one’s ever looked at.
You’re very comfortable presenting results to technical and non-technical audiences.
You’re used to convincing senior management teams with data.
You’re happy hacking through large datasets with python, and you’re used to working with AWS.
You’re familiar with a range of SQL and noSQL databases, and big data infrastructure.
