About the role!

Join our technology teams bring to life world-class digital experiences in accordance with product requirements, designs, and user stories. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating responsive and adaptive solutions that render and perform well on all devices used to deliver our products
  • Implementing and maintaining efficient, scalable and robust code to ensure the smooth operation of our websites
  • Troubleshooting, debugging and implementing long-term fixes to bugs
  • Writing and maintaining test coverage
  • Executing projects within timeframes and communicating well with all stakeholders
  • Absorbing changes in scope or design
  • Coaching, developing and mentoring Developers within the team
  • Nurturing/enforcing and monitoring product technical excellence and high quality

About you

You have a “get it done” mentality, not dropping your focus or effort until you are satisfied with your execution. You keep your stakeholders informed and bring them on the journey. You have high curiosity and will actively seek out knowledge and insights about our business, the industry and our products.

What you bring

Our front-end is written in VueJS. The following experience would be desirable:

  • Proven experience in Front-end technologies including but not limited to VueJS (or React), Vuex (or Redux), React Native, HTML, CSS (incl Sass or Less)
  • Deep understanding of JavaScript, in particular ES6 (XHR, WebSockets, Promises), as well as web application design (MV*, separation of concerns, code re-use, linting, unit testing).
  • Experience in one or more of Golang, C#, Java, C++ (or equivalent compiled language)
  • JavaScript build/test tools (NPM, Webpack, Babel, Jest
  • Solid understanding of web standards and technologies (HTTP, CORS, browser caching, cookies, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of the mobile industry and the ability to develop our products using the latest device capabilities and trends

Desirable:

  • Exposure to Docker and containerised applications.
  • Experience with traditional relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres, etc).
  • Basic understanding or experience with one or more NoSQL data solutions (MongoDB, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch).
  • Understanding of the general concepts of microservices vs service-oriented architectures.
