Overview

The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.

Job Summary

This position will develop software to further harden DRS’s trusted computing platforms. Will be involved with the design, development, analysis, testing and debugging of Cyber hardening elements of a family of tactical computing system. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Contributes to proposals as well as presentation for design reviews.

Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems
Ability to complete a technical project independently
Mentor and coach other engineers.
Review customer specifications and requirements, and develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments
Document component and subsystem specifications and material requirements
Analyze designs as necessary
Specify and evaluate supplier components, sub-systems, and services
Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
Communicate clearly (written and oral) with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and the customer as required
 

Qualifications

BS in computer science, computer, or electrical engineering with 5 +years’ experience
Software development experience in Linux and Windows environments
Experience with OpenSSL to include various key types (RSA and Elliptic Curve), use of Symmetric and Asymmetric key encryption, methods for signing and verification, generation and subsequent use of certificates and chains of certificates.
Experience with Transport Layer Security (TLS) for use in the encryption of data carried across Ethernet interfaces.
Familiar with UEFI and Secure Boot including development of services that run in a pre-boot UEFI environment using EDK2.
Familiar with technologies and methods used for signing and verification of binaries, provisioning a TPM for use, using a TPM to perform cryptographic operations.
Experience troubleshooting errors with the Trusted Computing Group TPM 2.0 specification highly desirable
Familiar with disk encryption using the TCG OPAL Spec and Self Encrypting Drive Utility (sedutil).
Experience configuring and using Windows 10
Experience with RPM-based Linux system configuration and use. (Centos, Fedora, Red Hat, Wind River, etc.).
Experience using Visual Studio 2019, Eclipse (Java/Embedded Systems)
Experience with GitLab, JIRA and Confluence
Secondary Qualification/Nice to have

MS in computer science, computer, or electrical engineering
