Job description
We are looking for a senior full-stack developer to join us!
Key responsibilities will include the maintenance and development of our main web app used by all our clients. If you like writing efficient code, releasing early and often, having a direct impact on a consumer product, whilst tackling the challenge of implementing machine learning algorithms, you have come to the right place. As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you’ll also need an architect’s brain, helping to craft and articulate complex frameworks and platforms to the team internally as well as to current and prospective clients.
The work will be fast paced, the demands will be challenging, and you’ll need to know a lot about your area of expertise. You won’t be limited to a single framework either – our stack includes Node.js, Express, VueJS, NoSQL (MongoDB), and we host our applications on high-availability auto-scaling AWS infrastructure, which you’ll manage and oversee.
It’ll be an autonomous role – you’ll report to the CEO and you’ll manage your own workload. You’ll strategise, plan and prepare for growth, whilst covering the day-to-day development needs. You’ll need to be a good multitasker – that’s for sure, and organisation is key. We’ll work with you to find the perfect working arrangement, be it remote, in the office or a mix.

Requirements
We’re looking for developers with:
- At least 3 years of senior team leadership experience
- An ability to present complex theories and concepts to a non-technical audience
- The ability to develop and code review highly optimised, cross-browser and elegant code
- An appetite for open-source contribution and for engaging with a community
- A willingness to teach skills and knowledge to less experienced developers and to provide thorough and constructive feedback
- An understanding of agile project management and associated toolset
MUST-HAVE Technical Experience:
- Javascript (ES6/ES7)
- Node.js / Express.js > 3 years
- Vue.js > 3 years
- NoSQL / MongoDB > 2 years
- AWS (EC2 / EBS)
- API / JSON restful API > 3 years
NICE-TO-HAVE Technical Experience:
- Cloudflare / DNS experience
- Import / Export with CSV / JSON
- Python Experience
- Machine Learning experience
- Machine Learning platform experience (Sagemaker or similar)
- Multi-language / translation / i18n experience
- Accessibility / a11y
- Experience with Shopify / Magento / WooCommerce
- Experience with fashion PLM systems – Salsify / Centric
- Unit testing / BDD / TDD
