The Opportunity
The DevOps team at Mosaic builds and supports the tools and frameworks that empower developers to deploy their changes to production with the highest quality, uptime, and efficiency. The team is responsible for systems including CI/CD pipelines, frameworks for automation testing, system resiliency, monitoring, performance testing and tools and methodologies to train the developers for deploying services to the cloud. We are looking for a hands on DevOps Manager who has experience in leading cross region teams and also has the technical chops and prowess to serve in an individual contributor capacity. You can work remotely from anywhere in the US.
Your day-to-day
Organize, plan and execute Roadmaps that support and add value to the business and improve developer experience and productivity.
Collaborate with Engineering leaders across the organization to capture feedback and synthesize into projects with tactical and strategic outcomes.
Mentor, coach and support a team of onshore and offshore engineers in their growth and professional development.
Take on some gnarly challenges involving our monolith build pipeline and our legacy tech stack involving Jenkins, ElasticSearch, ActiveMQ and Play framework based Apps.
Take on key challenges around our new tech stack involving a Monorepo, AWS based CI/CD pipeline, Kubernetes, Kafka and Akka/Lagom based Microservices.
What You Bring To The Team
8+ years hands-on development in the DevOps space and 3+ years of experience building and managing teams.
Intense curiosity and empathy along with a “Get Stuff Done” mentality.
Deep experience with AWS and Linux.
Deep expertise with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
Experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as code e.g.: Chef, Cloud Formation, Terraform.
Experienced with architecture, design and deployment of distributed systems.
Experience supporting Monolith to Microservices transitions.
Experience in support and building Disaster Recovery and BCP solutions.
Experience with managing and deploying publicly hosted APIs using API Gateways and industry standard protocols such as OAuth.
Experience running mission critical systems that use Kubernetes and Kafka on a public cloud.
Experience deploying monitoring and alerting tools for example Cloud based monitoring tools and open source projects like Prometheus and Grafana.
Strong programming skills in Python.
