The global Customer Lifecycle Management Team includes four specialist areas – business strategy & operations, data engineering, product and technology. We directly support the regional OLX teams to run the local CLM operations in 40+ markets, providing the strategy, framework and toolkit to empower them. Effectively, we are an in-house innovation centre, an operations and implementation powerhouse, and an internal business consultancy, all in one.
The CLM team identifies patterns in customer behaviour to build an extensive lifecycle stage framework for the OLX buyers and sellers. We adapt our marketing treatments (email, push, SMS) and product features (recommendations and personalised sort order) in order to optimise the customer experience according to the users’ needs and lifecycle stage. The next wave of innovation will focus on data-driven and personalised monetisation and performance marketing. And while we are at it, we will make it all work in real-time too.
What responsibilities will you get when working with us?
Work closely with and support our development teams around the world
Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
Contribute to architecture, tools, standards and practices for our engineering organization
Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions
What will you need to be successful in this role?
Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
At least 3 years’ experience in development of high-traffic web applications
Knowledge of PHP and experience with different frameworks
Passion for code and an eye for simplicity and pragmatism
Experienced enough to be able to work with different teams around the world using different design principles and methodologies.
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
Curious to work with and learn new technologies
Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
Experience with AWS, MySQL
Good verbal and written English skills
