Overview
You will join a team of experienced software engineers, who follow an Agile approach to software development. You will draw on your extensive experience and technical knowledge to tackle tricky analysis, design, and coding problems. You’ll share knowledge and collectively learn with other engineers in the team, champion best practices, have a voice in SDLC activities, and pair with people to solve problems.
What you will be doing…
Developing new features & services, mostly in Java and SQL for our iGaming RGS platform.
Working with product managers, solutions architects, and internal business teams to define system requirements.
Assisting with writing technical specifications based on conceptual design and requirements.
Assisting with the rollout and release of features
What’s essential experience…
Expert knowledge of either Java or Java-like languages.
A strong understanding of Microservices architecture.
Experience delivering software in an industry where precision is critical.
Good knowledge of database systems, ideally SQL-based, PostgreSQL or similar.
An ability to write code interacting effectively with very large databases.
Experience writing automated tests, and ideally Test Driven Development
What will make you stand out…
Experience using Spring Framework.
Experience doing development work on complex systems.
Experience with AWS or another Cloud platform.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and a DevOps mindset when considering architecture.
Broad knowledge of software testing and being able to define testing strategies.
Familiarity with agile frameworks and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), and knowledge of their various advantages and pitfalls.
