PeopleCert is looking for a talented Senior Automation Test Engineer who will be part of our Software Development Team, which consists of more than 80 members, who design and develop applications that support & manage our certification exams, conducted 24×7 worldwide. Our applications are web based, build on cloud (Azure) based web services/applications using various technologies including JavaScript, Redis, oAuth, .Net, SQL server etc, iOS & android native app development and video streaming.

 

As a Senior Automation Test Engineer your task will include the following:

  • Liaise with developers and fellow test automation engineers.
  • Design and implement test plans to ensure applications and software are tested correctly.
  • Keep up to date with the latest testing tools.
  • Ensure adequate number of test cases for good test coverage.
  • Create extremely well written documentation of automation suites
  • Monitor the continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline to ensure test automation solutions are integrated throughout our delivery pipeline
  • Troubleshoot, analyse, isolate, and communicate defects discovered because of executing automated tests and make recommendations to address the defects
  • Assess the development process to determine high risk areas and make recommendations on how to mitigate these risks with test automation
  • Specify, establish, and manage test data for automation projects across various environments
  • Ensure their work and presence is aligned with company’s values “Quality – Passion – Integrity – Innovation,” at all times

What we look for:

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on automation test experience
  • Knowledge of programming languages like C# and Java.
  • Sound understanding of Selenium WebDriver.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong desire to “break software”
  • Aptitude for learning, professional development and enjoys being a team player
  • Software development experience would be a bonus
  • A passion for test infrastructure, test architecture and CI/CD
  • Possess an agile mind-set, fast to adapt to constant changes and comfortable with it
  • Excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOLcertificate would be a plus)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Well organized, self-driven, flexible and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check.
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
