Software Engineer (PL/SQL and Java)
Interested in delivering IT solutions for Banking? We are looking for a bright-minded Software Engineer to join our Baltic Factoring Cross Functional Team and help us to develop our products using Oracle and Java technologies.
Factoring domain is a part of Group Lending and Payments division in Swedbank Group BIO. We are a team of 9 employees located mainly in Tallinn and working with application development and maintenance. Our direct clients are bank employees in three home market countries. Together with Business we provide highly appreciated services to hundreds of corporate clients in both Baltic states and Scandinavia. We work with different products and clients and keep the leading place in all our home markets contributing to continuous world trade and lending business growth. Expanding our business also means a demand to growing IT area. Therefore we are looking for a sharp and bright-minded Software Engineer to join us!
What joys and challenges do we offer?
With us you will be part of cross-functional agile team and should be ready to handle a variety of tasks within the team. Your main focus will be software development of in-house products, yet the role will also include working with requirements, design and implementation of solutions. Taking care of proper code quality is expected in order to keep our service’ stability. Technologies involved include (but are not limited to): Oracle DB, PL/SQL, Java 7/8, Oracle Forms/Reports; GIT, BitBucket, Jenkins, Linux/Windows, WebLogic.
What would help you to succeed in this role?
As a Software Engineer we expect you to be solution-oriented, structured and efficient at your work. You are a motivated individual, eager to learn new things and a solid combination of the following requirements:
- proven skills in programming and code optimization (Oracle PL/SQL, Shell scripting, Java);
- believe that technical documentation and code versioning are an essential part of work;
- open-minded and with good cooperation skills (also good in English).
