Swissquote is a leading company in the finance domain with offices in several countries around the world. We are looking for an IT Linux System Administrator to join our new office in Bucharest, Romania. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux & Windows machine pool and systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities:

Manage the local support for the users like as fixing and preparing PC’s, printer and monitors.
Documenting, reviewing, and improving existing or new procedures and workflows;
Manage the cabling from server room till the user.
Manage access control system.
Manage the servers on the NoMachine / Citrix infrastructure
Manage the connection to the servers.
Manage the network connection with HQ.
Make sure the server power with UPS are functioning well.
Support Office Manager monitoring monthly IT & Phone infra related bills
Ensure the application and tools are working correctly on the users side.
Check the viability of an enterprise grade native Ubuntu setup. In that scope:Install, configure, update, and maintain machines according to the enterprise standards and policies.
Perform regular backups and restores of laptops using tools such as rsync, tar, or dd.
Monitor and optimize the performance and security of laptops using tools such as top, ps, netstat, iptables, or ufw.
Create and maintain documentation and procedures for laptops support and administration.
Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to ensure the quality and availability of Ubuntu native laptop machines.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 2 years of experience in service desk IT support and administration, preferably with Ubuntu native laptop machines.
Good knowledge and skills in Unix operating systems, such as Linux commands, shell scripting, file systems, processes, users, groups, permissions, etc.
Good knowledge and skills in Ubuntu/unix machines administration, such as apt-get, dpkg, snapd, systemd, network-manager, etc.
Good knowledge and skills in Ubuntu/unix machines troubleshooting, such as dmesg, journalctl, syslog, lshw, lspci, lsusb, etc.
You are familiar with Active Directory
You are service-level oriented and your work ethic emphasis client-care
You are autonomous, willing to learn and develop your skills and are looking forward to prove your team-spirit to your future colleagues
You speak English fluently (French is nice to have)
Strong plus:

VDI/Citrix / noMachine setup administration knowledge.
Ubuntu Pro Desktop and Landscape administration prior experience
