Get to know the role

Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) [Multiple Openings: Level 2, 3 & Senior] (Hybrid)

Job Summary: This role will ensure that only the highest quality products are provided to internal and external customers. This role will be responsible for test automation and tool development as well as manual testing to validate Pokémon digital products and internal services are of the highest quality. The role will partner with the development, DevOps and product teams to define, measure and advocate for quality at each step of the software development lifecycle.

Note: We have multiple openings and are hiring for IC Level 2, 3 & Senior SDET.

We are looking for 3-12+ years of related professional experience for varying levels.

  • Experience operating within an Agile development environment.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services highly recommended.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and/or equivalent working experience.

What You Will Do (SDET Level 2 & 3)

  • Partner with all levels of the technical organization to build and enhance a framework focused on automation.
  • Develop customer centric automation test processes for all existing and new product development
  • Use code to cover test scenarios in an efficient and effective manner

What You Will Bring (SDET Level 2 & 3)

  • Experience with continuous testing practices.
  • Experience with test frameworks (Selenium, nUnit, xUnit, and pytest).
  • Ability to craft test strategies based on feature requirements to instill quality perspective with partners.

What You Will Do (Sr. SDET)

  • Design and drive all aspects of automation framework creation and execution while proactively incorporating feedback from partners.
  • Design customer centric automation test processes for all existing and new product development.
  • Define, collaborate, and build tools for internal use to ensure quality at scale.
  • Use code to cover test scenarios in an efficient and effective manner

What You Will Bring (Sr. SDET)

  • Proficient in test planning, estimation, and ability guide other testers through the process of breaking down complex areas into testable components.
  • Proficient with automated delivery infrastructure (CI/CD, automated quality gates, etc.)
  • Proficient at using data to direct and prioritize project coverage and testing.
  • Ability to craft test strategies based on feature requirements to instill quality perspective with partners.
