Overview
Responsibilities
● Validate technical requirements and communicate implementation strategies.
● Continuously improve operational efficiency by automating manual tasks and processes.
● Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews.
● Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
● Function as part of a team responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of the production environment.
● Understands fundamentals of large scale on-prem and cloud mission critical systems; networking, security,
redundancy, scalability, monitoring, & performance KPI’s.
● Provide recommendations for improvements in the overall development process.
● Actively participates in scheduled and unscheduled deployments through both manual and automated methodologies.
● Stay current with relevant research, techniques, technology and other factors impacting the job.
Requirements
● At least two years of IT Operations experience.
● Undergraduate degree or Diploma in Computer Science or similar field.
● Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application.
● Proven ability working in Agile and DevOps work environments.
● Knowledge of orchestration using Puppet, Ansible, Chef, or similar configuration management systems.
● Strong understanding of UNIX shell scripting.
● Demonstrated work with a major Cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google).
● Experience with infrastructure as code software, such as Terraform
● Working knowledge of SQL server administration
● Understanding of general security architecture and design.
● Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
