Wray Ward is seeking a smart and passionate senior-level developer to join our Creative team and build engaging digital experiences.

The developer will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, from concept to deployment. Fresh thinking and a passion for utilizing new technologies to provide creative solutions for our clients is a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities as a Senior Developer:

  • Build CMS-backed websites and landing pages using PHP/MySQL
  • Develop cross-browser and cross-platform solutions using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Develop single page applications and user interface components using React and TypeScipt
  • Integrate with third-party web services and APIs
  • Test and debug across multiple platforms and devices
  • Work across teams to enhance and expand ideas and concepts
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and effectively communicate progress

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Solid development background utilizing PHP and MySQL
  • Demonstrated experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, including a solid understanding of multiple browser limitations
  • Experience with React and Typescript
  • Experience with responsive design and best practices
  • Experience with front-end build tools and pre-processors such as Gulp, Sass and Babel
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with Unix development environment and command line
  • Experience with open-source content management systems such as Craft CMS, WordPress, and Sanity
  • Experience with MVC frameworks a plus
  • Experience with iOS or Android application development a plus

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of open-source web development experience
  • Agency experience a plus
