Overview
Asynchrony Labs, a subsidiary of WWT, has opportunities for Senior Software Engineers encompassing responsibilities along all areas of application development. This includes detailed software design, pair-programming code with unit tests to implement the design, and enterprise architecture integration. Candidates will be responsible for the analysis of business, engineering, and scientific problems, as well as the documentation and development of well-defined methods, procedures, and programs in the delivery of practical systems solutions. Candidates with experience developing for the cloud would be preferred.
Candidates should have 5+ years’ experience with the following knowledge, skills and attributes to be successful:
Advanced, modern software development methodologies such as agile, extreme (XP), lean, etc.
Developing server-side technologies in C#, .NET, Java, Ruby, etc.
Experience working with databases and SQL
Using continuous integration tools and automated testing
Design and architecture of large-scale applications
Using Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
Knowledge of all elements of a full technology stack
Confidence and ability to determine requirements and lead development to completion
Ability to work in a startup environment backed by a large enterprise
Ability to dig in and understand complex models, business processes, and technologies
Ability to persevere when complexity presents itself
Passion for pairing, mentoring, coaching, and leading software teams
Excellent inter-personal skills and fluency in English (both verbal and written)
Availability to work locally in our offices in New York City (Midtown Manhattan)
Experience with the following knowledge, skills and attributes are preferred:
Experience developing for the cloud
Enterprise mobile application development: Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, or Swift
