  • Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
  • Experience designing mission critical enterprise systems with a focus on improving system and application infrastructure, scalability, effectiveness, and performance while at the same time controlling costs
  • Experience in using AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53, Elastic Beanstalk, SMS, IAM, Groups, SNS, Cloud Watch, Amazon MQ, Amazon SQS, etc.
  • Experience designing and implementing EC2 applications using auto-scaling techniques and technologies
  • Experience designing and implementing application and infrastructure monitoring capabilities for AWS
  • Demonstrate the ability to guide team members in understanding and implementing highly scalable AWS architectures and assisting in coding, debugging, and supporting those systems
  • Experience with Agile best practices such as containerization methodologies and other strategies including continuous integration/continuous delivery and technologies that enable it such as Bamboo, Puppet, Foreman, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience with Middleware technologies such as Tomcat, Jetty, Active MQ, Apache, HA Proxy
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, Engineering, or other technology related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years’ experience working with AWS Cloud-based technologies

Additional Experience and skills that we would like to see:

  • Experience in other cloud platforms and hybrid cloud approaches
  • Experience in other CI/CD technologies such as CFEngine, Chef, Ansible, etc.
  • Exposure or experience in mission critical real-time applications
  • Ten (10) years professional Information Technology experience
