Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with management, departments, and customers to pinpoint end-user requirements and specifications.
  • Develop efficient and elegant code based on specific requirements.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of software delivery best practices, including testing, Agile/Scrum methodology, version control, CI/CD, and more.
  • Execute thorough testing and seamless deployment of programs and applications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and enhance existing software to continually optimize performance.
  • Collect and evaluate user feedback to enhance software performance.
  • Proficiency in evaluating third-party software options to assess their suitability for addressing specific needs, thereby making informed decisions between building in-house solutions or leveraging external products.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation to serve as a reference for future software development projects.
  • Propose and advocate for process improvements to enhance flexibility, reduce costs, and elevate the user experience.
  • Be adaptable and cross-train as necessary to support and back up team members.
  • Pursue ongoing enhancements to system availability, performance, and workflow.
  • Provide valuable support to the team, department, and company concerning architectural design and strategy.
  • Engage in internal development projects.
  • Contribute to API development efforts.
  • Collaborate with external development resources to specify projects, define objectives, and maintain project timelines.
  • Dedicate efforts to support and enhance existing systems.
  • Explore and assess new business technologies, systems, and platforms to align with the company’s objectives.

Required Skills

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
  • Development Frameworks: Proficiency in Microsoft technologies including .NET, C#, and MVC.
  • Demonstrated expertise in API development, including designing, building, and maintaining APIs for efficient data exchange and integrations.
  • Database expertise: Familiarity with Microsoft SQL, stored procedures, and T-SQL.
  • Frontend Technologies: Experience with HTML, JavaScript, React, Angular, CSS, etc.
  • Effective stakeholder interaction abilities and requirements gathering.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a strong aptitude for collaborative teamwork.
  • Attention to detail and a quality-oriented mindset.
  • Advanced critical thinking skills for evaluating alternatives and presenting solutions aligned with business objectives and strategy.
  • Enhance software delivery processes by embracing and advocating Agile/Scrum methodologies to drive efficiency and collaboration.
  • The ability to apply common-sense understanding to encountered situations.

Preferred Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, such as AWS and/or Azure.

This is a remote-first role but we are primarily in the U.S. Eastern time zone and prefer candidates who can have an overlapping work schedule with the rest of the team
