Overview

The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.

Job Summary

This position will develop software to further harden DRS’s trusted computing platforms. Will be involved with the design, development, analysis, testing and debugging of BIOS, UEFI and other Cyber hardening elements of the computing system. Determines hardware compatibility. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Contributes to proposals as well as presentation for design reviews.

Job Responsibilities

EDK1 and EDK2 based BIOS development
Develop EFI drivers for an EDK2 based BIOS for various devices as per program requirements
Develop file system EFI drivers for an EDK2 based BIOS as per program requirements
Develop code making use of Intel SGX/TXT/ME and other Intel technologies in EFI
Fix defects in an EDK2 based BIOS found during test or reported by the SCT
Execute code refactor and cleanup on an EDK2 based BIOS
Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems
Ability to complete a technical project independently
Mentor and coach other engineers.
Review customer specifications and requirements, and develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments
Document component and subsystem specifications and material requirements
Analyze designs as necessary
Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services
Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
Communicate clearly (written and oral) with manufacturing, supply chain, program    management and the customer as required
Develop solutions supporting current Cyber standards, such as TCG
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in in computer science, computer, or electrical engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Software development experience in Linux and Windows environments
Experience with BIOS, Linux Kernel & UEFI development
Experience with EDK1 and EDK2, IPSEC
Experience with Hardware Security (TCG Specs, TPM, Opal Boot Guard)
Experience with GitLab
Experience with JIRA and Confluence
