  • We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our Nuix Engineering team based in Sydney.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for building great software to join a highly regarded global technology company.

Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, this role will play a pivotal role in a newly created engineering team to build new products and work on the integration into the Nuix engine.

Nuix is experiencing unprecedented growth across all areas, and as a result, we require an outstanding Java Software Engineer to play a lead role in developing one of our new products in our Sydney office.

The key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Implement solutions and work with project teams to deliver polished software
  • Develop software from approved designs and/or requirements adhering to all relevant standards and making efficient use of Nuix’s software development environment
  • Design, develop and perform unit, system and integration testing of software components
  • Constructive review of team member pull request

To be considered for this role, you will possess:

  • Strong agile development / scrum background
  • Degree in Computer Sciences/Technology or any other related field preferred
  • Strong SaaS / PaaS development background
  • Micro-services experience
  • Expert level capabilities as pertains to object oriented software development with proficiency in Java
  • Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Security
  • Knowledge of Java 8 Lambda expressions
  • Experience developing RESTful Service apps
  • Elasticsearch experience is a plus
  • OrientDB experience is a plus
  • Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management ability with a deadline focus
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple time-zones
